Dog Bed

A dog bed is one of those pieces of furniture that belong uniquely to your pet. Some of them are little more than a mat on the floor. Other beds are more ornate and include things like pillows and coverlets. Some dogs don’t even have a bed and they do just fine that way.

One of the biggest reasons for purchasing a dog bed is to help train a dog. You may be familiar with the dog that just won’t stay off the furniture. Chairs, couches, anything seems fair game. You’ll leave the home and come back to the dog lounging in your favorite reclining chair. Breaking the dog of that habit can be a trying ordeal, but it doesn’t have to be.

One thing you’ll have to do is scold the dog every time it is on the furniture. Another thing that can help is to have a positive alternative for the dog. This is where a dog bed comes in. While you are busy keeping your dog away from the other furniture, you can praise it for going to its bed. You can leave treats on the bed, and before you know it, your dog will prefer that place to almost anywhere else in your house.
